Jane Austen the Woman: Some Biographical Insights
Published in Hardcover by Palgrave Macmillan (May, 1994)
Average review score:

Excellent! New facts and insight on Jane's lifeI found this book to be refreshing and quite different from any other biography of Jane Austen which I have read (and I have read many!). Mr. Tucker comes up with a great number of surprising facts that other biographers seem to have missed. The book is also very well-written. It was a disappointment to me to turn the last page and find there was no more. I highly recommend it.

Average review score:

SUPERB look at all aspects of Gardening in AmericaAs far as I know, this is the FIRST history of the family garden, also known as the "kitchen" garden and its evolution from a purely practical, food garden to community gardens, self-help programs, etc. From Thomas Jefferson to modern day gardening, this book has it all! Great read, wonderful find for gardeners.

Let's Go Map Guide Rome (Let's Go Map Guides)
Published in Paperback by St. Martin's Press (March, 1997)
Average review score:

Great MapWe bought this map and the "Eyewitness.." map of Rome. The "Let's Go.." was preferred by the group - more detail, easier to read. Both maps lack up-to-date info on the expanded metro, so be sure to get a paper map also when you arrive.

Lies (people believe) About Animals
Published in School & Library Binding by Albert Whitman & Co (October, 1991)
Average review score:

Lies (People Believe) About AnimalsThere are 11 major reviews of animals, and over 20 minor reviews. In each of these reviews I found at least one thing that I believed about the animal that was not true. Usually these are major believes which are wrong.
I found the writing style very easy to read and understand. The photographs were very good and very unusual. And the layout of the book was very pleasing to look at and invited the reader inside.
This is a terrific book for kids. I have had it out on my coffee table and children always pick it up and read it.
Thanks for a job well done.

And the pitcure taker said,''Yes I am,'' so the pitcure taker said peas instead of cheese.Ramona made a funny face and her pitcure got taken and it came out funny.
